Where in Chicago can I go on my first horseback trail ride?

I've never been, so I would like someone to ride with me who has experience. I would also be interested in the suburbs, but nothing too far.

There are trails in the suburbs, like Palos Hills riding stables, Oak Forest, Plainfeild. Those are south. I don't know what part of Chicago you're looking at.
