Almost 200,000 on the engine? How old is the battery? if 3 1/2 to 4 years you may need to replace it.

1; Do you pump the throttle when starting? this could/will flood the engine with fuel.

2; Do you have good Spark & Fuel flow? Coil wire loose, Fuel filter clogged (Change).

3; was the engine smoking or running rough at all? Could dirty throttle body or injectors.

4; If you change the battery or not check cable and wire connections at battery, starter & starter solenoid, secured, clean & dry, condition also.

Good Luck!

Did you test the battery voltage after charging ? Should have 13.5 volts. A bad battery will not hold a charge and will not accept a jump start. You need to have the battery tested, sounds like it is your problem.

If the engine is turning over and won't start.
It could be one of several things:

Fuel problem,
Electrical problem,
Ignition sender,
distributor,
Timing,
Carburetter.

I think you need a mechanic to look at it for you.

If have a 416 and I love it
