The democrats never cooperate or concede, except for defeat in Iraq. They have been trying to lose the war for years.

Under Clinton, he was amazing in his ability to get things passed under republican control. That was due in part because the dems wouldn't let them get away with as much as they wanted. But also due to the fact that Clinton was very good at compromise. He understood he couldn't get 100% of what he wanted, but understood that 50% was a hell of a lot better then zero.

Under Bush, with all three branches under republican control, the arrogance of the republican party was ubiquitous. It really caused this country to come to an almost virtual standstill with the exception of war. Also, it seems Bush wants it his way, or the highway.

I'd say, the dems are better.

Peace

When in Control of Congress, the Republicans do, and did more for the American People that the Democrats.
The Republicans left us keep OUR EARNED MONEY!
The Democrats believe that OUR EARNED MONEY IS THEIRS!

The history of the past few years makes that clear. During the first few years of the Bush administration the republicans who controlled congress did their best to shut the democrats out of the process.

Depends on the issue. LBJ wanted to pass civil rights protection legislation in the sixties, and Democrats in his own congress, including Al Gore senior, fought him on it. It took the republican minority, Senator Dirksen in particular, to get civil rights legislation approved. As thanks for that, blacks have been voting 90% for Democrats ever since - go figure that one.

I think Clinton is given waaayyy too much credit for actions taken by Newt's Congress.

I cannot conceive of the nightmare awaiting us with this Congress and a Democratic President.

The Dems spend their days trying to destroy the right in every way. They lie cheat and steal every chance they get. They lay awake at night thinking of ways to create a huge scandal out of nothing in order to gain a bit of power. They are all crooks.

Democrats, hands down! Remember when Newt Gingrich shut down the goverment in 1995 because Billl Clinton wouldn't do exactly what he wanted! The republicans have ALWAYS been more partisan! Democrats always let republicans have a say, and republicans always shut democrats out of the process. Republicans are impossible to work with because they NEVER COMPRIMISE. They are insufferable!
