have you tried using a wash based on lactic acid, like lactacyd? some shower gels can be a bit rough. :)
if you live in the u.k. you can get a free sample on the lactacyd web site.
you do need to go to the doctor to rule out an infection first though, it could be bacterial vaginosis or trichomoniasis - both of which are easily treatable.
oh and discharge does change with the time of the month and if you are on the pill - still, don't go on suffering, get it checked out.

It sounds stupid but if you wash to much down there you are altering the pH of the vagina so the vagina produces to much liquid trying to balance the pH which produces a smell. When showering make sure the soap you use is pH neutral and you can use the shower head to wash around there just don't wash it to much.
In time if you do the above then the smell will reduce alot. You also may have an infection if it is itchy and have alot of discharge so if you do go to the doctor for a check as it may be a yeast infection.

Could be thrush. Lots of women have it at times. You can get stuff over the counter at the chemist. Try wearing cotton pants instead of nylon ones. Chemicals from shower gels and suchlike can sometimes cause more harm than good. Try a bath with salt in it.

This isn't normal. Two things I suggest: go to an OBGYN for a check up. Something not seen could be causing the problem. And start using baby wipes instead of tissue. This also helps prevent bladder infections. Good luck.

sometimes overuse of shower gels and such like can cause a bacterial imbalance in the vagina called Bacterial Vaginosis and this causes a yellowey looking discharge with an unpleasant odour.
it can be treated by a course of antibiotics or you can just wait for your body to right itself. it might be an idea to use one of the specially formulated feminine wash products for washing down below as they dont contain high levels of perfumes and irritants.
i had this problem a few years ago cos i was washing too much and too vigourously with shower gel but it was soon sorted with some medication.

try a feminine wash and vagisil. Also, acidopilus(supplement) which helps to balance the yeast in your body. Apple cider vinager in the tub works too. Cut off sweets as they feed yeast. good luck and don't feel bad, have you seen all the girls that responded? everyone gets it.

Yes if you have a foul smelling odor it is usually from having a yeast affection & you should just go see your doctor & that will most likely take care of it ; p

Sweety- don't put anything up there other than plain water and worry more about your stress levels, your fatigue levels and your diet.
Douches etc will only worsen it and may create an environment where harmful bacteria invade.
I've been married for 20 years and been though it all- trust me- no men will think you're dirty or unclean- any that do are little girly-boys.
