He is alive and currently in the Protective Housing Unit at Corcoran State Prison in California. His death penalty was reduced to life in prison because California abolished the death penalty. He's eligible for parole again in 2012. He's been denied parole eleven times (last in 2007).

I don't know how accurate this figure is. I found it on line............."It costs about $26,000 per year to keep someone in prison." I would think this could vary greatly, depending on location and health care issues.

Yes, he is still alive and he has made statements to the tune that if he is set free he would line football fields with bodies. This was said in a TV interview so I don't have the link. I was alive when he and his gang with out any mercy at all killed Sharon Tate and the others. No, Sharon was not gutted like some people said she was. Usually, I would say life in prison with out possibility of parole but this thing needs the death penalty. He is evil.

Yes he is waiting for his next parole hearing and acting as whacked out as usual. No idea on costs of keeping him alive but what other choice do we have let him out to commit other crimes!!

Yes, he is. He's almost 73 years old and still thinks of himself as the victim for his crimes. He has never shown any remorse for the real victims.
