There are so many Jewish people in high places in the US I am not surprised that it was covered up.With the US as their allies Israel think that they can attack or bomb ,especially their neighbors and then shield behind the power of the US. I have NEVER heard a single word of criticism from the US against Israel I wonder why.?

I don't feel betrayed. I was the medical department representative on one of the Special Project Fleet ships for three years. We knew the danger in the work we did. We also knew we were expendable to a certain degree. Most of us viewed that phrase in the opening scene of the "Mission Impossible" TV series as faintly ironic and prescient:
"If any of the members of your team are killed or captured the Secretary will disavow your actions".
Many of the facts were kept from the media. The government was engaged in a Cold War which required knowledge of covert operations be kept secret and away from the prying eyes of the media. That sense of caution was heightened years before the attack on USS Liberty in 1961. Six days before the launch of what became the disastrous Bay of Pigs landings in Cuba, the New York Times splashed the details across its front page. To this day you won't find many copies of that paper being purchased on Eight Street in Miami.

This is what is so tragic. So much has been covered up by the government, the ability to feel outrage is gone.

My government lies to me at every opportunity about every thing they do.

yes, it is horrible that this happened, but since image is everything, we are ALL expendible
