Telling you broadcast radio stations is pretty useless without knowing where you are.

KPLU.org is a good online jazz stream. Shoutcast radio has a lot of online jazz streams. I'm fond of Sky FM Modern Jazz, but your tastes may differ.

WKCR(.org/989.9fm) out of Columbia University, NY is by far the best station, in my opinion.

Each DJ conducts his own show with a theme. The themes are simple, maybe a certain period of on musicians history. You get to hear the music and hear the story of the life/time is was made.
They often play rare stuff that you can't find. The DJs are students of jazz, and every afternoon, on weekdays, there is a guest musician interview.

I don't know if that's your idea of a good jazz station. If not, try WBGO(.org/89.9fm) out of Newark, NJ. They play a lot of good, popular jazz that everybody has heard already.

I live in the Seattle area and listen to KPLU 88.5. They have an online jazz stream that you can get anywhere in the world. I've listened to jazz stations from all over the country in my travels and KPLU is by far the best of them.

97.9 "The Breeze" is a great jazz station (if you live in Utah)! It's one of my favorites!
