I personally wouldn't think so. Chocolate in general is a lot like milk in the way that it thickens mucus. I would think that it would just make the coughing more phlegm-y

Honey and Lemon juice will help. Mix some up in a glass and have teaspoon every time you cough. Get Well soon

Hot liquids will help. Tea with agave nectar or hot soup works. Ricola Lemon Mint drops work. Hard candy soothes the throat.

not in my expierience, but for some relief temporarily, try chewing minty gum until you can get a cough depressant
