More than likely this is true.

No. A few others do.
Some of us think it is because the Republican Children's Health Care Program, created by them, has been abused and expanded to include adults as well against the original plan of the bill as an attempt to force universal health care (socialism of our medical system which is already reducing competition between companies and increasing costs as a result).

The veto is against giving it MORE money.
Clean up the act, he won't veto.

Seems simple.

I disagree. The money comes from different sources. Polititians don't think like regular people, in ways like "Oh, we only have enough money for one thing, so I'm going to pay for war." They do everything they want (and can get away with) and worry about funding later. S-Chips would have been expanded from more cigarette taxes, the war bill had no source of funding written into it.

I feel that way. If he can veto this then he can veto the war. Children need insurance and they should help provide it. Children are not responsible for their parents irresponsibility.

No, I think he did it because the program was up renewal, not expansion. Expanding this program is the backdoor way of getting universal healthcare, which is not what we want. We want to be able to get into see the doctor and other medical care in a reasonable amount of time. Then we will realize that if we can afford it (or be accepted for it) we will still need some type of private supplement to get decent care.

I believe he vetoed that bill because he really has no interest in alleviating any pain or suffering in the American people.
