Me too, I give thumbs up on all my answers, I try to anyway, Sometimes I'll ask a question and get 50 answers and my computer starts acting crazy and freezes because I give thumbs up one right after the other, so I have to go back later and finish them off, if someone comes in and gives me a smart @$$ answer I won't thumbs up, I just skip it unless it's really bad like a racist remark I'll hit the thumbs down, this is supposed to be fun!

I never really though about that before. Oh well some people just only give thumbs up to either their contacts or to the best answers only and some people simply just don't give thumbs up at all.

I only give a thumbs up for an answer I feel to be very good, or a thumbs down for one I consider to be wrong. It would be a little silly for the asker to do it surely as they have to pick the best answer. I'd rather see the asker thank everyone for their answers in the best answer comment bit.

I give thumbs up a lot except when I am too lazy. I mean after I pick a good answer, I go and look at other people with good answers, and decide to give them a thumbs up. Now I'll give ya a star, oh kay?

I don't really care for thumbs up and thumbs down. I mean it is nice to know someone acknowledged you but mostly I just try to help people. And kill some time.

I think the thumbs up and down facility is pretty useless anyway. If it were used properly then all well and good but we all know that there are plenty of idiots out there who give everything a thumbs down for no real reason.

You know who you are!

And yes, I'm expecting thumbs down from "funny" people but please remember that I don't give a hoot about that.

I think it's just you whining about something completely insignificant and idiotic. There are more important things going on in the world than whether someone gets a thumbs up or not for an answer they give on Yahoo.

Now, since you are ranting about it, I suggest you be polite and give me a thumbs up for "taking my time to answer".

I agree, its just manners.I answer a lot on current events and you should see the amount of thumbs down people get for disagreeing with someone.

thumbs up and thumbs down don't matter... the questioner is not obliged to give a thumbs up to any of the answerers.
