My sister is going through the same thing. She's been bleeding for 4 straight months. They're tried bc pills, metformin, etc.. and nothing has worked. They have done ultrasounds, ct scans, and an mri along with the usual pap smear and can't find anything wrong. She's now anemic. My advice to you is to eat plenty of leafy greens and take an iron supplement if you can tolerate it, and try to cope. If you've had all the procedures my sister has, I guess all that's left is to wait it out unless you want to have the heat therapy. I don't remember the exact name of the procedure, but they've told my sis they'll try it in another month, they insert a balloon like thing into the uterus and fill it with hot saline, it sorta cauterizes things. However, it's not without side effects and can cause problems with future pregnancies.

My godmother went through almost the same thing. Her doctors kept putting her off too, then she really did almost bleed to death. She had to recieve some outrageous amount of donor blood at the hospital, and she should be sueing her docs. If your bleeding that much for that long id be worried. see another doctor or go to the hospital. I would demand something be done further by your doc rather than just waiting, its not worth what could happen.

I had a D & C done when i was 17 and also had the same problem with the bleeding not stopping. When I started to bleed excessively they put me on birth control and it did stop the bleeding for me. You should insist on some answers but you are not going to bleed to death. Just be patient and demand the answers you need. Good luck

First of all, you should see a woman OB, men might know all about the reproductive organs in a woman and how they work but they cannot know how you feel, they have never had a period or cramps or a baby. So switch to a woman OB. Second of all, if you have been bleeding for 3 months, something is definately up-get a second opinion.
