I have been on Yahoo Q and A since Jan and lately I have find it’s gone to the dogs, it’s like a youth club full of idiots spouting absolute crap. Users who are bullies and absolute psychopaths seem to have followers who lap up their waffle. Certain users who I always thought were decent honest people are going a long with it all. Come on people just have a look at some of the questions that are asked on here is this really what you want to be participating in? I am referring to current news and events and not for one moment suggesting all users are behaving like this. I shall wait for all the abuse.

justmebackagain4 I don't have a problem with you I am referring to the wars between users on yahoo and I am sorry but that has no place on a news and events site. Unless I see it on prime time news. I agree also the McCann's are current news and yet again I am not saying we shouldn't post questions about them.

jim g I know you are honest and say what you think I am not referring to you hun, we disagree on a lot of subjects but I respect you for being consistent and standing up for what you believe in. I just can’t believe how this category has become more of a free for all to abuse and insult people. Is this news, as I must be missing it when I tune into most news sites. I like to express my opinion but when users are suggesting people are s lags and suchlike I can’t believe this has become acceptable on here.

Eden* Thank you for answering my question and I do agree nobody should ever be subjected to such a torrent of abuse and I do class people who sit back and watch it as guilty as the perpetrators. Believe me I was appalled at the comments made about your little one and I did state this on many of my replies to certain questions. I can’t comment on what happened last night, as I don’t come on here as often as I used to but I was shocked with what I saw today. I ranted in my question but avoided naming anyone, as I really don’t know who has numerous ids’ etc. I always stand by what I believe in and am consistent and I think people who have been on here quite awhile can see that. All I can advice is keep strong, spoil your little girl, and sod what anyone else says.

Hi Scorpie, you will get no abuse from me, because I respect everything about you.
I don't know if you include me in all this, but if you do i'd like to explain my reasons for getting carried away.
For a while now there has been nothing but bullying of innocent members [ mostly female ] this type of behaviour makes me sick, it is to me the same as the lynch mob mentality against the McCann's, i'm sorry if i lose face or friends through this, but i will not tolerate the bullying of any innocent member on here, and if that makes me a bully then so be it, but i will only bully, and intimidate those whose main aim is to destroy people who have the cheek to speak their minds, this goes for the followers of these bullies, the cowardly hypocrites who take the side of the majority.
I hate hypocrites, they see it as ok for one person to say something as long as the majority say it's ok, but if the majority say it's not ok then those same hypocrites will go against that person.
I will continue to put a spanner in their works as long as they keep up their viscious campaign.
I count only a few on here as friends, and you are one of them Scorpie, I hope you can see where i am coming from and can remain a friend.

Well said. This site was originally set up so that people could get answers to sensible questions in order to help them out, but it is now populated by people who seem interested only in 'playing' to increase their level scores by answering supposedly when they have no idea what the answer is, using foul language, bad grammar, and it has become a tit-for-tat banter between certain users. I joined the site because I had 2 specific questions for which I could not find the answer. People just didnt bother reading my questions, wrote anything down which didnt help me at all and yet my questions were marked down as RESOLVED. They never were. This site was a good idea but should be monitored and regulated properly.

Scorpianbabe-I think most of it is just a banter of words, insults, views etc.
A few people have apologised to each other, me included, and I feel there is a cert degree of fun with each other.
When it comes to the McCann questions, I believe it helps to check the abuse.

your right I stopped visiting poll and surveys because all you ever got was personal questions you know do you like so and so or someone is a troll.I really enjoyed the debates on news and events but the same has happend here the cic club just asking questions about each other or saying hi to each other.Eden I don't know what happend but anyone who can say horrible things about children should be kicked off this site.

I posted a serious question (nine below yours in current events)
The abuse I got is unbelievable , but it`s water off a duck`s back.
Someone even posted a question aimed at me before trying to stir up trouble. I`m afraid I answered in the same silly tone.
If I just shout " MCCANN " I`d get ten times the responses to my questions.
Best to ignore the cranks because there are loads of them.
