Golden, if we don't try to save fetus' that are premature and have serious issues...just abort them, or not count them, we can have costa rica numbers too...but we save lots of babies that wouldn't survive anywhere else on the planet. There ought to be a category for those babies.

Ash, it should be debated before we hand over a complete industry to the government.

Stossel easily wins since he researches all his issues and was previously a liberal and saw the lies they put out which convinced him to be conservative.

According to raw census numbers, just under 16% of the American population is uninsured. If you take out the extremely wealthy who don't NEED insurance, the single young adults who don't THINK they need insurance and others who CHOOSE to be uninsured for whatever reason that brings the estimate to less than 10%.

Included in that 10% is another group of religious fanatics who are uninsured because they don't believe in doctors or medical intervention of any kind. Now we're around 8.5% uninsured. This number corresponds to less than 4% of families.

As for the infant mortality rate, lets get real here. The raw numbers quoted here include abortions (America has the highest abortion rate in the world) and anchor babies who die because of poor or no prenatal care and a mad dash across the border just prior to delivery. The acutal figure for international comparison is just under 1.1%.

If you want to address the "health care issues" in America, you need to start with TORT REFORM. The only people getting rich from health care are medical malpractice lawyers. THAT needs to stop!

DUH folks, the point is not if Cuba is good or not, if Canada is good or not, if Moore is right or Stossel is right.

The point is that our health care system needs work; and we should be smart enough to shut up about ideology and find a way to insure everyone. Private, public, I really don't give a rat's *** but I do want to see people able to go to a doctor at the first symptom instead of to an emergency room when it's almost too late.

Michael Moore is a self-proclaimed Socialist. Every piece of propaganda he creates is intended to give more control to the federal government and less to the individual. Fahrenheit 9/11 was so full of lies, he quit referencing that trash. Its the same for Sicko, but he's got DVDs to sell so he keeps perpetuating the lie.

i don't know why this might ask your self all people. ABC went to great pains to ensure that there could be no genuine opposing place provided. they'd not enable opposition counterpoint on the night of the progression. they'd not enable the opposition to purchase merchandising for the period of the progression. Face information right here ABC can now no longer be depended on as a information source as they have effectively confirmed the intensity of their bias for the present administration. Liberals and ABC can deny this all they like, yet movements talk louder than words.

Three words. REALITY, CREDIBILITY, COMMON SENSE

Golden, I think you might be talking about abortions not infants.

You did know that Stossel was my pick as the winner, right?

It doesn't matter. There are issues in this country concerning cost of medical insurance, concerning its availability in some place, concerning nursing shortages, etc that 10 debates about Cuba and Micheal Moore won't solve.

Stossel has no trouble refuting Moore. Stossel uses unspun facts.

I happened to clip his article from this weeks paper and leave it on the lunch table at work. He stirs the pot - I hope he [JS] wins with others the way he does with me. He offers rational arguments in the face of bromides - offered by the likes of MM.
