..or the ones before that - Major, Thatcher, Callaghan, Heath, MacMillan, Churchill, etc.

Wilson was the only one who stood up to the US and didn't get us drawn into Viet Nam.

I think that we are the British Isles and should stay that way. Be friends but not get into bed with Europe, USA or anywhere.
And as for choosing the PM, that's out as GB isn't calling an election. Would you give up your only chance to prove whether you can do the job?!!

Thats the dream. But i think Mr Blair was a once in a generation leader, i don't think we'll see the likes of him again.

Yes you should.
So choose one.
Were I English I would be severely torqued with Blair standing behind Dubya and I would be looking for somebody cut from different cloth.

Sure you are free to vote as you wish...

But we are getting th short end of the stick with these re-runs of "Are You Being Served," "Benny Hill," "Faulty Towers," "Bargin Hunt," "Cash in the Attic," "Monty Python," and the entire BBC_America thingie on our TV's.

Quit it!

That, my friend, will never happen. I wish it did, but it will never, LOL !!! But, look, there are worst things in life. Americans aren't bad people. In fact, my personal contact with them is that they are wonderful people ( every country has bad apples and the USA aren't an exception to that ) !! I don't like America politics but I love the American people --- they really are two totally separate things.
