I think it would be a good idea to buy an arcade machine like this one: http://insomnia.ac/reviews/ac/thehouseofthedead4/screenshot3.jpg if I can hook it up to cable to watch normal T.V. on as well as play an official arcade game! Can someone tell me if this is possible? Also, is it possible with a DDR machine? Thanks.

The basic answer is yes it can be done, but most likely not by you. If you were to take it to a tv repair shop (or one that does house calls) and tell them what you want done.

The monitors are mostly just like your tv tubes in many cases, and would need a input source selector installed. This would allow you to choose what device is being seen on the monitor.

About the DDR It could be done on it also and heck if you wanted to, you could have them make it so you could change channels with the left and right arrows and increase or decrease the volume with the up and down arrows.

But to be practical you would better off getting a nice flat screen or projection tv and buying console games. You can buy arcade style controle panels to connect to them and be much more happy in the long run, the Tech fees will cost and finding someone willing and knowing of how to do it.

Good Luck either and anyway.
