I just started taking birth control (mononessa), but I have been having sex using just a condom for about a year and a half (with the same man). How long do i have to wait until we can have sex without the condom?

always use a condom no matter what. you could still get pregnant. birth control is not 100% effective.

well, according to doc's,when U have sex with a partner that has had sex before(visa versa) U r basically sleeping with everyone he slept with in 10 years.I and hubby been together almost 8,and still to this day I get tested yearly.I seen some of the whores he slept with,I don't want anything they had.LOL But 1 1/2 years is soon.And it's not worth the risk.Birth control does not stop STD or pregnancies all the time.Trust me I have 2 beautiful surprises from God.LOL But U can go have both of u checked out at Ur docs or local health center to ease Ur mind.I get tested yearly,so does he.If u r comfortable in Ur decision ,then we cant stop u,But I really would think on it.

Birth controll is not 100% safe, so use a condom anyway.

You should always use condoms to prevent against STDs.
And everyone who said that contraceptives aren't 100% are 100% correct.

Always use a condom. HIV usually takes at least 6 months to show up in tests. Don't be another statistic.

3 weeks on the pill if you started on sunday, you are protected right away if you started the pill on the very first day of bleeding. get the gardasil vaccine at least, before exposing yourself to possible std's.
