Yes. They spend all their time studying math and have no time to shave. This is true of males and bearded ladies.

from school i notice that the older mathematicians have beards but more of the physics teachers have beards, and if a physics teacher writes with his/her left hand there is a 75% probability they are a in the field of atrophysics
