I live in Kansas City, MO and was thinking of visiting Omaha, I've never been there before-is it worth the trip? What is there to do there?

It would depend on what time of year. Less to do in the winter, of course. We do have some really excellent restaurants here. I would put the Henry Doorly Zoo up against nearly any zoo in this country. The SAC Museum which is close to Omaha is worth seeing. Mahoney State Park is next to the SAC Museum and offer great outdoor activities- lovely cabins, water attractions between Mem Day to Labor Day.

Our Old Market is a fun place with unique shops, great restaurants, carriage rides, lots of atmosphere. If you like French, V Mertz is wonderful.

We do get some fun concerts at the Quest. Elton John is coming in tonight, so if you combined the trip with a concert that could be fun. Our Orpheum theatre is also a lovely venue for live performances. There are three casinos just across the river.

Borsheims is here if you are into diamonds.

If timing isn't an issue, a trip up during the College World Series would be a fun time. So much goes on in the parking lots that there is always something to do and the stadium is right next to the zoo.

Its probably worth the drive- three hours really. And depending on how long you plan to stay, Nebraska City is on the way. It is a really charming place to spend a day.

Lived in Omaha most of my life.

We have been speaking approximately this throughout Classics type immediately - do no longer likely understand why - i assume it became via fact somebody purely found out the date. it fairly is perplexing to have faith it fairly is been 7 years. i became extraordinarily youthful whilst it occurred i assume. I undergo in innovations purely questioning the information pictures became a demolition instruct earlier the newscasters began stating the human beings leaping from the towers and my mom found out it became the twin Towers. no longer being American, needless to say, it fairly is not as important an adventure in my u . s .. We did have a 2d of silence on the 1st anniversary, yet frankly it fairly is been the 1st 3 hundred and sixty 5 days i've got fairly remembered and theory with regards to the assaults on ny. i think of my American pal actually pointed it out. it relatively is a shame how publicized the form has replace into even with the undeniable fact that. it form of feels like all and sundry's attempting to link the towers to the debatable conflict in Iraq. And to 3 degree they're linked. it fairly is purely unlucky, even with the undeniable fact that, that the deaths of those human beings have been used as pawns in some governmental video games. i assume its the age wherein we live the place we will not fullyyt mourn - we use the dying and subject to extra different agendas. besides, no prefer for rambling. I do prefer u.s. the suitable on their street to restoration. EDIT: i became observing this clip on interviews with little ones whose birthdays have been 9/11. i myself understand somebody born in the morning of September eleventh 2001. in the morning, at with regards to a similar time the 2d airplane struck. it fairly is form of unlucky via fact she'll continually have that form of putting over her special occasion. it ought to look trivial looking back, pondering all that became lost, yet birthdays are important deals once you're seven years previous.
