Do you think it would translate well into a video game?

It would translate quite well into a computer system. The hardest things about playing ASL is constant variables you have to check to accurately determine the results of your dice rolls, and moving all those little counters by hand.

In fact, I'd say the old Steel Panthers series was largely based on Squad Leader. But I don't think anyone has ever actually duplicated ASL itself as a computer program. If you find one, I'd like to try it, let me know.

It would translate well as a *computer* game. The computer would handle the number crunching and act as a prompt to keep track of rules and phases.
