Over the years, I.ve watched this fine athelete perform beyond anyone's expectations. She was not only a fine athelete, she carried herself with pride and dignity. I as many, held her in high esteem. She was indeed deserving of great praise and the high pedestal on which we placed her.

In the eyes of many, she has fallen from that pedestal. She has fallen because she came clean and admitted her use of steroids. I truly hope that good conscience and maturity are what prompted her to admit her indiscretions, and not the fear of being outed by someone else. If this is the case, I will continue to keep her on that pedestal. What say you?

Scammer.

We all make mistakes and I'm willing to forgive her for finally coming clean but she's definitely no heroine.

I can respect her for finally admitting that she made a mistake but I can't respect her for cheating for so long and then lying under oath to cover it up.

There are many other fine athletes out there that didn't get the acclaim that she did simply because they didn't cheat.

I think she's been Honest enough that it hurt her personally to admit this. I think Maturity played alot into her decision. As we age we realize that we do stupid things in our past that seem so right to us. The fact that she comes out and admits what she did when she did it says alot. Think about the people that go to their grave never admitting the truth about themselves.
She was never on my pedestal, but she was someone that I thought should be recognized for her athletic abilities, I do wonder if we put so much stock into our athletes that they feel that they have to live up to an "expectation" than the person that they are truly meant to be. I admire her honesty. And I wish her well in her future. I hope she finds herself.

She admitted to using drugs when it was known that she would be convicted of lying to the Feds. If she was honest and cared about track and field she would have told the truth in the hearing and given evidence against Conte and Graham.

She is doing too little too late.

She only did this in the hope that her sentence would be less.

We will have to wait and see how sincere she is.
