More right wing religious lunacy, defamation, hysteria, lies and distortions.
AIDS is real, and dangerous, and homsexuality is REAL and a certain % of the population is born that way.
ANY sex education is extremely important. If some parents want to go back to the 16th century, that's fine. I'm sure there are Bible schools who are ready for them.
I will agree though, that ALL forms of sex education need to be taught, and I'd have no problem with parents electing that their children not participate in those classes.
However, if those parents don't teach their OWN kids sex education at home, I think that is shameful.
PS: Abstinence is a total failure as a form of sex education and everyone knows it.

You make it sound like kids will be taught 'sexual acts'.
That is not the case. Take a breath...chill out....quit being afraid.
What is....IS.
Gay people will continue to be a part of our society, and I think it's best that kids be taught that there are differences in all areas of society, including sexuality.
Teaching kids that gay people exist and offer a great deal to our country does not...REPEAT...does not make them susceptible to being gay.
Do you feel better now, or are you going to continue being afraid?
By the way....everyone's kids should know what to do to have safe sex...whether they grow up gay or straight. A condom fits a gay guy the same way it fits a straight one. Where's your brain?

Actually I think they actually do talk about gay sex in some of the bigger city schools in the sex education classes. There are gay people out there and there are kids who go to school that have gay parents. Talking about it isn't going to persuade someone who is straight to be gay. For the people who don't like the fact that sex education is taught at school, if parents did there jobs and talked to their kids, the school wouldn't have to. If you don't agree, keep your kid home and let them become as ignorant as you are.

I just don't get the mindset that would rather young people suffer disease or death because we want to withhold information from them.
Last I heard there were std's and unwanted pregnancies and gay relationships and yes even abortions years and years before we ever thought about teaching safe sex and I for one think that information is a better disease preventative that trying to instill fear..

I'm not a Hillary fan, but I bet even Hillary would cringe at the thought of this education.
Any decent parent would. This sex ed, hetero and otherwise is our job! It should have never gone to the school in the first place!!
ADDED: In my county, principals are required to send home early notification. We parents can write letters and keep our children out. Mine goes to the computer lab and they must also shield him from the other children the rest of the day. Fallout for my son? The other kids think he's cool. Fallout from the teachers? They say I'm the only parent who does this (they think I'm cool).
Sex ed for my child? Gets it from me the same day. My version, at an age appropriate level. Who is better qualified to understand this than a child's parent?

Dittos. "LAZIO: That’s your record, Mrs. Clinton. You can’t run away from your record." Our girl hill will take credit for any thing good from her "35 years" in politics, her defenders will remind critics that she never held office back then and shouldn't be held accountable for any of the s@#t she caused. The left wing media will let her run from her record. Thank God for the new media.

If parents would take personal responsibility and teach their kids about sex, one wouldn't have to worry about that in schools.
And just because one speaks of gay sex doesn't mean it will turn someone gay.
How much would you have to hear about gay sex to want to have gay sex?

they are talking about treaching kids about homsexual sex before kids no anything about hetero sexual sex.
Somthings should be taught by parents and not some school teacher.
This is what is pushing us toward a civil war. Taxing people to support intituition the represent and agenda not held to by the people.

Well we can always make sure that the parents have to sign the forms. I would just not sign them and teach my kids the old fashioned way. They old bird and the bees talk.
