I live in CA too; and I've gotten great roses from them. I think they ship them out of Wasco, CA or Medford OR

here are the two I use all the time. I love them and their roses are fabulous.
David Austin Guarantees their roses only if you allow them to ship them when they feel it is the best time for your zone.

I don't know if Heirloom guarantees their roses, but I can tell you from experience that their roses are top notch. They are own root, disease resistant, and healthy.

Jackson Perkins has the Love and peace rose. I have to warn you though that being a hybrid tea means that it is a grafted rose which means that it can lose it's graft, it is short lived, and it is disease prone. It is a high maintenance rose. However, having said that it is also quite lovely.

Why order online when you have some great nurseries around you???

Try Alden Lane Nursery (www.aldenlane.com) in Livermore or Regan's Nursery (www.regannursery.com) in Fremont. They are worth the drive!

For online only, try Ashdown Roses (www.ashdownroses.com) or Antique Rose Emporium (www.antiqueroseemporium.com).

Happy Gardening!

Oh, here's a great site to use as a source for finding roses and stockists: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/index.php
