and Yes I am white. and not that I should use the west coast or the east coast or the southernmost part of the country as a measurement, but I have traveled to a lot of big cities in the US. and I'm seeing a new "race" throughout this country. This new "race" is the result of intermingling and intermarriage I believe. Thus we have a new hue of coloring...which I must admit, is rather beautiful.
The United States seems to be becoming a nation of people of color.
Has anyone else noticed?
Will this make a difference in a few decades with reference to each state's government representation?

(Don't answer unless you have traveled to at least four other states besides the one you live in.)

It's a pretty sensitive question...I don't know if I'm wrong: no matter what generation/era it is, people have to pay a high price for freedom, freedom is NEVER free. You'll know what I mean by looking at the histories of Native Americans and African Americans. It takes only strong nations to fix the mistakes they made in the past, and evolve for a higher level of civilization. I think America is one of these nations, and whites (most of them, not all of them) is such a group of people that would change their thoughts and reconsider the history over time. If whites become a minority in some day in the future, it takes time for whoever the majority is, to figure out what whites had taken time to figure out in the past, to provide whites the benefits...I may be wrong, but if you look at the history in a bigger picture you'll find it more like a cycle, people basically go through the same thing every other hundreds of years

I would hope not! Our goverment should never be represented by people of race or gender but by those who have the experience to run a country!! I agree the white race ( I to am white ) is the minority and thats ok. The only major difference is a pigment gene in our coloring. Now if we could all act like it!

Yes. White European-descent males are the most effected. Get straight A's in high school with plenty of AP classes and you are considered a so-so candidate to the most competitive colleges. Be a Hispanic with a B grade point average and rest assured you are picked for Ivy League.

I've lived and traveled all over the US my whole life. I have noticed the need to learn Spanish to order fast food in Denver, Colorado. Or Dalton, Georgia.

I really don't look at the color of people's skin. I'm not racist. I notice how people are treating each other, and I'm not impressed.

Not 'becomming', we are the minority in the world we just act like we are the ascendant race. I can hardly wait until all the skin colours get mixed together and we can stop thinking in terms of skin colour.

It will still be a long time before "whites" become a minority and SEVERAL decades before the growing diversity is reflected in state and national government.

I recently visited places that I hadn't been near in a decade and noticed that there have been many changes in the make up of the citizens.
