Yes, that shows the degree of contempt our current administration has for our troops. Also, apparently they feel the same about children.

Very interesting.... although, not surprising at all. Furthermore, I doubt it's the last we'll be hearing about this type of thing. If there is one thing that's been made starkly clear by this administration, it is that there is a bigger plan in motion.... a plan for economic division. To Bush and his "power base", anyone beneath the elite status rates, roughly, in the same ballpark as cattle. Therefore, they are not worthy of consideration or fair treatment, in human terms. Neither are they entitled to a dollar of what the elite feel is "their" money, as that would mean parting with a dollar's worth of control. Sadly, our soldiers will bear the worst of this, because they not only have been used, but are expendable according to the plan. How much more of this can Americans take, I wonder, before something is done? Where are our young protesters? And, might they increase significantly if our troops were allowed to come home - especially to this type of treatment?

Yes, I know about this. But, my friend, it is, sadly nothing new. Please witness voting down 1.97 billion to improve the VA hospital system last year. Went strictly along party lines. All this happened while we were spending 1.5 BILLION a week for the war. I guess the heroes who laid their lives on the line are not as important as *fiscal responsibility* bullsh!t they preach but they never follow.
How many members of Congress have children in Iraq ?
I can give an answer but it will shock many negative responders to this question...
EDIT: BORED, what you fail to mention is why it happened in the first place, any thoughts ? also, have you served or indeed have you been to a VA hospital ? just curious...
judging by my past experience, the hell will freeze over before the *corrections* are put in place, sad and pathetic...

It is a shame that the Army attempted to save money by having the men miss the scheduled time by one day.
This could be the Army, not Bush doing it. I doubt Bush knows every detail. But he does bear some responsibility for this as CIC. Plus because of the budget problems, he assumes responsibility for it as well. However, I do not think Bush ordered things this way, but the final responsibility is his and his alone.

TitusPul: No under no circumstances wounded, yet so what? Served USN, college EW, thats mega death eventualities. you will desire to study what the definition of carpet bombing is formerly utilising hands. i became unaware that carpet bombing became unique basically to B-52s, and that i've got faith the USAF is likewise blind to your assessment, sir. and that i'm no longer antisemetic: And made no antisemetic assertion, in spite of the undeniable fact which you curiously do no longer be attentive to what Israel did to the liberty? ultimately one massive gripe is that the Iraqi human beings would desire to step as much as the plate does that make some anti-Iraqi? So if the Israeli's are utilising us as proxies and that's pronounced does that make one anti-semetic? No, am no longer a liberal. by way of the way, why are we in Iraq? i can tell certainly, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's of no concern to me, extremely what concerns me is our own government. i think of revolution is a sturdy element now and then?

Yes... This is also consistent with the privatization of government services... reducing the services and saving costs.
This hurts the average Joe most, but it saves the jet setters a lot of tax dollars (although most of the money is coming out of treasury debt.)

Mad, you seem surprised that someone who never spent a day IN the military (ACTUALLY IN not just signed up for, BUT actually SERVED, as in SHOWED UP) would have NO sympathy for those who ACTUALLY show up and do their sworn duty.
