If someone else says: "If you hiccupp one more time, I'll give you five bucks!"
The point of that isn't to give or get money, it's just that when you WANT the hiccupp, it seems to go. Usually works...

Put a spoon in half a glass of water and hold the round back of the spoon to your temple while drinking the water. Obviously the spoon needs to be handle down and in the glass.
Good luck!

Usually someone is there with me, and they always tell me something like "Did you remember to..." and then I stop and think about what they just said; and my hiccups are cured.
So just have someone with you and they will usually tell you someone that will make you want to stop and think about it.

You put your thumbs on your ears, and your index fingers on your nose, to close it, and don't breath for a few seconds.

I try to take really deep breaths for a few minutes, and if that doesn't work I hold my breath.
