I am going to travel and work in the UK for 6 months then I want to explore Europe. I was wondering what countries I can enter without having a travel visa. (I know some Eastern European countried require a visa.. just not which ones)!!

Thanks

It would have helped if you said what country issued your passport, However, I will assume it is not an EC Country.

You cannot just come to the UK and work for 6 months. You will need a work permit and a visa. What skills do you have that you believe the UK needs ? Unless you have skills the UK needs you are unlikely to get a work permit. You're not a brain surgeon by any chance ?

Even if you can get a UK work permit and visa this will not entitle you to travel elsewhere in Europe.

Europe has enough problems with economic migrants already.

For working in the UK, be careful. I've worked there illegally and they will "interrogate" you at the border to see if you are likely to work without a permit. I've heard of canadians and americans being turned away. If you have just recently graduated from high school or university, you can apply for a "post-students" working visa. (see british consulate site). A lot of places will not hire you in the UK without papers and hardly any of them will help you get papers. Working in Europe without papers is not trivial, do research. The only countries in europe which require a visa for US citizens (not the normal stamp kind) are belarus and russia, however transdnistria can also be tricky. Before you venture into Europe for more than 90 days, you must make yourself an expert with the Schengen Rules. If not, you'll be screwed! hope this helps

Well... a seasoned world traveler like you should know that the VISA STAMP you get on your passport when you enter Europe, IS the VISA... you only need separate visa's for Eastern Europe... not western europe and... if you travel a lot in Europe, you will probably never be asked for your passport.
