Even though I'm married, but if I were single and fell in love with a man and he asked me to fill out a prenupt agreement, I would never do so, to me it makes me believe that the man loves, cares and protects his money more than he does his future wife. : )

I HAD plenty of assets/money when I entered my first marriage .. and REGRET NOT having a Pre-Nup ...

It was REALLY, REALLY STUPID to not do it. As a Result ...

This short disaster of a marriage to a violent, abusive sociopathic ex (who abused me AND the toddlers/babies AND was convicted of it) got ALL my assets to that point in time of the divorce ... he was aggressive about pursuing all my assets, making sure that I would LEAVE with NOTHING (and tried to kill me too), and ...

then even after the divorce (and I've now had to FEAR for almost a quarter of a century) ...

He has Burglarized my Home (once again in August 2006), stolen my Identity (once again in August 2006), damaged/stolen my cars and property, assaulted me/children, etc etc etc.

PRE-NUP is the WAY to go ...

and I am going to do that IF I ever get to the point where I am intending to marry once again.

There is no other way to protect YOURSELF when you enter a marriage with someone ... because too many are out there PREYING on others ... and that includes individuals like my Ex (who is MALE) ... who "believe" they are 'entitled' to everything that you have ... and make no bones about it when the divorce happens (and it will happen when the $$$$ run out).

You can base your relationship on trust, however, you can't know if you and your spouse should end the marriage on bad terms. Depending on who makes more money and/or is financially stable, I'd recommend a pre-nup. Better safe than sorry.

Aren't you supposed to trust the person you'll marry? I guess people with lots of assets would be better with them, but I believe in trust.

Prenuptial agreements mean you don't trust the other person and are planning for when you split up (what does it mean "until death does you part"?)
