Britney Spears has recently released the title of her 5th studio album, _Blackout_. What is your opinion of this? Is there any hidden meaning?

My opinion is that she could be going to prison anytime soon after she is convicted of hit-and-run, so she would be temporarily gone from the media... no more flashes from the cameras... so, "Blackout".

If it's about powering up and wiping "out all negativity", maybe it should be "Whiteout". XD But all the same, the name "Blackout" sounds like she's in a long hiatus in prison/parental counselling with Special K...

lol. i looked this up and her spoonsers Jive records said it means blacking out all negativity and when there is a blackout ppl panic and everyting falls apart which is exactly wat happend to her after K-Fed ****** her up and the album is about powering up again. prsonally ppl should leave her alone for a while so she can just put herself bak together. and ppl say her new vid sucks. i know it does but cuz she fell and now she wants to stand up again. she needs to start small to get back on track.

i think it's a great title
according to jive "Blackout" refers to blocking out negativity and embracing life fully and captures the dance-friendly nature of the songs.
