Vere and ivy are like the most old school so i would go with Ruby cuz its more modern that the other two. you cant be young and have an old persons name likeVera.

Ivy and Ruby are great names .I think Vere is ok but hard to picture calling a baby that. But I love old names they seem to carry the mystery of history with them.If you do have them for a first name pair it with a longer middle name.

I like them all! If I had to pick one, it would probably be Vere.
I don't think they are old lady names and won't be popular again for 20 years. 1. They aren't old lady names, and 2 there is a lot to be said for classic names that will translate well into adulthood.
Lot's of people though Heather and Brittany are cute names (and they are for little girls) but how many adult Brittany's do you know that are taken as seriously as, say, a Jane or Lauren.

I like them all, but I wouldn't use them for a child, myself. (I don't have any names on my list that are on the top 1000 names list on the social security list) Ivy and Ruby are pretty popular, but since I really liked Ruby it's what I named my kitten....
I kind of like the name Vera better, but I have this fear that it's also becoing more popular....
Yes, I like "old people" names.... always have! One of my best friends is named Doris... I've always thought it was cute.

Vere should be Vera. I like the rest, though.

If it's just between the 3.. I'd have to go with Ivy. How about Jade? Fiona?
