At least 3 occasions have been documented, the most famous, of course, when he spoke to the NRA in DC. Is this, um, wierd?

Leave it to Yahoo people to see this as a partisan question. If Hillary was taking calls from Bill, um, people would go CRAZY over it.

stupidity or serious campaign stunt miscalculation, you choose. He may be trying to overcompensate for his divorces by proving how responsive and attentive he is with his current wife. (By the way, I usually vote conservative)

It's a free country and Guiliani can take phone calls whenever he wants. However, it certainly looks very unprofessional as he vies to be the president of the free world to take mushy calls from his wife. He should just have one of his aides take the call and if its an emergency he can motion to Rudy and just cut the speech short. Is that so hard?
Imagine him giving a speech from the oval office on a terror attack and he answers the phone.. "Hey honey, yes, I'll get milk. I love you too baby, don't forget about our reservation tomorrow..."

If you knew you were going to give a speech to a body of people, turn it off. I work at a state funded employment agency and nothing yanks my chain more than a person coming up to the customer service counter while on their cell phone and then motion for ME to wait with their index finger till they finish with their conversation.
If its so damn imp[ortant, finish first,THEN come up to the counter. People need to learn etiquette.

That is strange, isn't it.
I figure it had to be staged, but I can't quite figure out what they were trying to prove. Weren't the calls from his wife? Maybe it was some attempt to demonstrate marital loyalty, akin to the Al Gore/Tipper kiss at the 2000 Democratic convention.

He wanted to show that the is a "family guy" to counteract some of that bad press from his divorces and kids not supporting him.
I don't think it worked, but who knows with Republicans.

It was a gag designed to get laughs. He tried it one too many times. If he does it again, he'll look foolish!

talk about much ado about nothing! Mr. Giuliani should NOT have his cell phone on while speaking but, if this is his worst criticism, I'll take it!

He wanted to know what the caller had to say. I don't know if it is weird, I see people using their cells in every kind of situation these days.
