My wife recently gave birth, and we were given the disposable teats and the milk ready made in glass bottles, now that we've come out, I just wondered where you can buy them from beacuse I can't find them anywhere :(

Anyone got any ideas?

It's almost impossible to get the glass bottles they supply in hospital. Often you'll have to make do with the tetra pak ones....sorry

I read that Katie Price used these to feed her children, so it's not true you can't buy them. I have seen ready-to-feed bottles in supermarkets, and you can probably get them on-line.

However, if you plan to use them exclusively, this works out the most expensive way of feeding a baby. They are good for occasional use, such as when going out though, as the milk stays sterile until opened, and can be kept at room temperature.

In the UK you can buy ready made cartons of Cow and Gate and SMA in most supermarkets and chemists. Haven't used them myself as I breastfeed but I have definitely seen the ready made cartons on the shelves.

You'd have to use your own bottle.

You can buy disposal, single use bottles as well but I imagine that would work out very expensive!

Hi, I had the same problem but unfortunately they dont make them for anyone else , they only supply the hospitals with that particulart format. When we got home, my daughter had trouble taking to the teat , until we got tommy tipee slow flow teats. But all babies are different, perseverence adn patients. I dont know why these companies do this as it would save so much hassle if they just sold them everywhere rather than just supplying the hospitals.

I have not seen the cow and gate bottles, but they do sell the 100ml sma hospital bottles in mothercare only in store not online and teats too. Also www.ocado.com sell the sma bottles, You can occasionally find them on ebay but only if you are lucky. If you dont want to change to sma formula maybe try cow and gate direct and ask them on 08457 623 623

You can get cartons of ready made milk from any supermarket but you have to use your own bottles to pour it in. I would only use this if I was going away though because they are really expensive. It is better to make it up yourself.

"All the major supermarkets stock this milk in at least the 900gm size, if not the 450gm and the ready made sizes too. One thing I have noticed: we have two local Morissons' Supermarkets and neither of them have huge stocks of any infant formula.
Boots and Superdrug also stock it, as well as many high-street pharmacies. Just check the prices as it is normally cheaper in the supermarkets. "
