(Ecology): the branch of biology dealing with the relations and interactions between organisms and their environment, including other organisms.
2. Also called human ecology. the branch of sociology concerned with the spacing and interdependence of people and institutions.
(Botany): 1. the science of plants; the branch of biology that deals with plant life.
2. the plant life of a region: the botany of Alaska.
3. the biology of a plant or plant group: the botany of deciduous trees.
(zoology) The series of specimens which either constitutes the name-bearing type of a nominal species or subspecies or from which the name-bearing type has been or may be designated.
Agriculture - study of producing crops from the land, with an emphasis on practical applications
Anatomy - the study of the animal form, with an emphasis on human bodies
Biochemistry - the study of the chemical reactions required for life to exist and function, usually a focus on the cellular level
Bioengineering - the study of biology through the means of engineering with an emphasis on applied knowledge and especially related to biotechnology.
Bioinformatics - also classified as a branch of information technology (IT) it is the study, collection, and storage of genomic data
Biomathematics or Mathematical Biology - the study of biological processes through mathematics, with an emphasis on modeling.
Biomechanics - often considered a branch of medicine, the study of the mechanics of living beings, with an emphasis on applied use through artificial limbs, etc.
Biophysics - the study of biological processes through physics, by applying the theories and methods traditionally used in the physical sciences
OMG there are so many: here's the link!!

I am terrible at math, but managed to graduate *** laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Most of the programs are likely to expect you to be or become comfortable with trigonometry. It really depends on the discipline and specialization (Biology is a BIG field). I was pre-medical and had to take calculus as well. My advice would be to take the most basic math classes you feel will still benefit you and work your way up. Never take a semester without math until you've finished all of your math requirements either. That information will slip away pretty quickly, and catching up/reviewing can be a pain. Also, and I know you didn't ask, but be prepared to follow your educational path all the way to the level of Masters or PhD. A Bachelor's degree will provide you with far fewer lab or research opportunities than their more advanced counterparts. This is usually the case with any degree, but very much so with science degrees.

Biology is a very broad subject. You can categorize it into three general branche as Plant Biology or botany, animal biology of Zoology, and Microbiology. Then you further brach into molecular biology, physiology, anatomy, ecology...and the list can go on and on and on. Try www.wikipedia.com and search for biology.

Biology is the study of living beings.
There are numerous branches of Biology.
They range from the study of cells to the ecosystem and biosphere. For each group of organisms there is a branch of biology.
For example, mammology is the study of mammals.
Microbiology is the study of microorganisms.
Cell Biology is the study of cells.
Molecular Biology is the study of DNA.RNA, and proteins.
Spongiology is the study of sponges.
Parasitology is the study of parasites.
Entomology is the study of insects.

Different types of biology depend on what exactly is of interest. Cellular (cells), genetics (genes), zoology (animals in general), botany (plants), physiology (physical structure), taxonomy (naming/classification), reproductive .... you get the idea. Almost any part you can think of that would be of interest probably has a speciality to go along with it.
