vitamins are only bad for you if you don't eat a balanced diet..the soil are food is grown in is not as rich and dense in nutrients as it used to be....vitamins are to be used to fill in gaps in a balanced diet..for instance: someone who dislikes dairy products needs calcium (women in general need extra calcium at certain points in their lives aslo!)...vegetarians need B-vitamins ...

i take vitamins intravenously every week(doctor visits) and i take a powder vitamin every day mixed in with a veggie juice. i was really sick before i started and have gotten so much better and even gained weight which is really hard for me =) yay for good health!

I take a mutivitamin with extra Iron in it, because I'm anemic.
And I take liquid B12.
