Right now, reading is the very first thing to do. Read any and everything you can get your hands on, mixing up the genres and getting a taste of everything. Most writers will tell you that reading others is key to your own writing.
The second step is to write every day. Consistancy is what will hone your skills. Try to write something, anything, every day, even if you don't feel like it, even if you don't feel inspired. Just get something out and onto the page. This'll help more than you know in getting to be a better writer. Even if you lack natural talent, this will ensure you will have the skill, at least. And it sounds like you possess talent, so even better. :)
Try to vary the subjects you write on, and experiment with different styles of writing. Get a book on how to write, maybe on prompts for creative writing, from a bookstore so you have that on hand if you're really feeling stuck for ideas. Invest in a good one and you won't be sorry. Just keep pushing yourself in as many different ways as you can, on as close to a daily basis as you can, and keep reading other people's work. It won't be easy, but if you really love to write, you'll make it work. :) Best of luck!

You don't have to be crazy but it helps. You don't have to be a writer unless you have to. If you have to write---may God have mercy on your soul. If you write enough you'll finally find the right place to start . That's when you find your voice. That's when the horrors begin. You have to quit thinking about it and let it speak. Don't worry about what direction it will take. The story it tells will have it's own innate compass that always has the beginning, the meat, and a passionate ending. Aside from all that---keep a hand written journal/diary and copy it into a file each evening. It will give you the ideas you want just by editing it , choosing the jewels that complement, and marshalling the facts into an orderly style.

Well, if you love to write, you already do the first step: writing. Next find out if you're any good-- show your writing to people and ask for their opinion. Make sure you brush up on your grammar and spelling. Rewrite you work. Show someone your work (perhaps an English teacher). Rewrite your work again. Enter writing contests. Send your writing to magazines, books, etc (make sure you follow their guidelines exactly). Hope that someone really likes your work. Good luck.

To be perfectly honest? I really don't like Twilight. I mean, yes, I will admit, I used to read them, but then people became so obsessed over it. And then there are people who state stupid things like, "No, you can't have Edward, he's MINE." I mean, really, when are they ever going to meet a fictional character. Then, on another note, he's a glittery, sparkly, 107 year old dead virgin who watches Bella sleep, half wanting to kill her. That's not creepy at all.... Not to mention that Stephanie Meyer seems to think that t's okay for people to get married at the age of, what, 18? Speaking of Stephanie Meyer, had anyone else noticed that the way Bella is described in Twilight is exactly how Stephanie Meyer looks? Think about it: Brown hair, brown eyes, widow's peak, etc. etc. I mean, really what you're reading is Stephanie Meyer's fantasy boyfriend.

Most cities have a writer's meeting. you'll meet people with experience and can guide you, and some, like you, who love to write but have no experience. Call your local Chamber of Commerce and maybe they can tell you when and where...or look it up on the net by going to google.com and typing "writers" and your city/state. Also your local paper may know.
Good luck.

I love to write, as well!
Of course, the first step is simply to write.
The second step is to look for ad in magazines and newspapers and publishers. I think you should check out Phonics Publishers. They publish almost anything you give them.

Keep a notebook of ideas to write about. You might join a writers group onliine or at your community college.

Just be writing. There's no real step-by-step method. You want to write, then write.
