If your neighbor's cat walked in your yard sometimes, not all the time. If they were at their own house 95% of the time and was only in your yard a few minutes a day? Why? One of our neighbors did that to us. Never mind their dogs go all over the WHOLE neighborhood and sh!t in everyone's yard. What damage is a cat doing? It's not like the cat is there 24/7 terrorizing them. And the animal control woman wasn't even taking it seriously when she saw all of our cats in OUR front yard.

These people don't hate cats. They have some of their own. And their dog is really small and still tries to terrorize our cats and eats their food when they are fed outside. I am sure a cat would not do all that.

Well I have a Siberian Husky, and have a cyclone fence around my yard. My dog never goes in anyones yard or in the neighborhood, he does his business in only my yard and we clean up after him. My neighbor has a cat that walks the neighborhood, craps in everyones yards cause it can get over the fence with help from tree's and stuff in peoples yards. This cat fights with my dog all the time but never once have we called anyone on the neighbors. I only let them know it was happening so they would beware that my dog is big, (we put the fence up so it was no cost to them) and that their cat might get hurt by my dog if it kept coming over and fighting with my dog.

My cats are strictly indoor, but of course, they feel that rule doesn't matter. My neighbors and I have an understanding. If my cat is doing something bad, i.e. scratch up something, they bring the cat over and I'll pay for the damage. Neither of them calls the cops and I don't either.

If a neighbor's irresponsible when dealing with their animals, it would be time to call for an authority figure, like the police instead of the animal control. If you cannot handle the importance of your pet and that someone may dislike "animals amok", you shouldn't own a pet.

No, I would not. I know how hard it is to try to keep a cat from doing something. My cat goes across the road to the neighbor's yard and I can't keep him at home. He isn't harming anything or anyone. The neighbor down below me said I needed to try to keep him at home because he's worried about his rabbit. Well, my cat can't get his rabbit unless he grows hands and learns how to open a cage. Some people are just trouble makers and like to fuss about every little thing there is. I hope you didn't get in trouble.

Thr cat thing may not be the real reason your neighbor is annoyed. If possible, maybe you could try to have a conversation with your neighbor. See if you can come to a solution to his dogs & your cat. Maybe the neighbor thinks you may have called Animal Control on his dogs. If they are loose as much as you say, someone is bound to have called before.

No I wouldn't, those people sound really off. I'm sorry to hear they did that to you. They might just be big song bird fans and since cats are hunters and tend to kill song birds some people go a lot overboard. This happened to my cousin.
