mmk so i have to know the normal temperature of hot water coming out of the faucet! like when you cant put your finger in the water cause its too hot. and also the really cold temp. of water coming out of the faucet. just the average, doesnt have to be real specific. k thx!

i would do that but i dont have a thermometer........maybe someone could test that out for me pls?

do you have running water in your kitchen?

set the faucet to the hottest setting and let it run for a couple of moments. read the temperature with a thermometer.
do the same for the coldest setting.

I would say scalding can occur at temperatures above 120°F (49 °C) the question is not only in temperature alone but in time of exposure. You can practically touch molten lead ( 620°F 327 °C) , just for a very short time.

Cold water on the other side will not cause any tissue damage since in freezing the the forming ice crystals damage the living cells and cold water is oboe the freezing point.. . Frogs solved that problem by producing special glucose that prevents ice crystal formation.
