Take BART to Embarcadero. Get the Golden Gate Transit #80 bus at the Transbay Terminal.

The transit 511.org website shows how to get from various places in the Bay Area to Sonoma County. Go to www.511.org. I've never been successful in getting the trip planner to work (maybe it's just me) but the schedules and route maps are there - you can do the plan yourself.
