Yeah, my brother's a big time chef so he always brings home fancy stuff for us to sample. Caviar just tastes salty, I've never understood why it's 'sposed to be so great. If you're cosidering buying some, save your $.

Yes and it is delicious. The cheaper copies of caviar from the Lump fish are akin to eating a mouthful of lumpy salt. The real thing has a delicate flavour and really does go well with Champagne, A good sparkling wine would just about do instead of Champagne.

Caviar is excellent and very common in the European Countries as well as is America. There is a slight difference
between jam and caviar. Are you willing to pay the cost is where the answer lies.

Yes, I have. The very expensive Beluga kind while dining out at a fancy restaurant. Beautifully presented on toast points with boiled eggs, chopped black olives, and tiny radish rosettes! Lovely. Tasted just like the Cod Liver Oil my mom used to force down my throat at the beginning of cold and flu season to boost my immunity and every time I belched I tasted it all day. NASTY.

Yes, and this is one food where price matters. Love the good stuff, hate the cheap, so only get to eat it about once a year.

Yes, years ago in St. Petersburg. I much prefer the smaller fish eggs though, like white fish.

Yep. And I don't like it. Doesn't matter if it is Sturgeon or Northern Pike, Pickerel or Gaspereau... ick.
