I think they should make a strong play to trade for Santana from the twins and maybe andruw jones in free agency

I've been saying they will probally go after Tori Hunter. I don't think Andrew Jones from Atlanta would be the fit for NY. I think they will also go hard after pitching. Both starting and relief. I'm not a Yankees fan. But looking at the roster. I hope they start to add younger players. Seems like the team is getting older. And soon they will be up against the wall with players at the end of there career. I think they will go after a new manager like Joe Girardi. But the pitching they will have to trade for. Not much in free agency.

I'm not a Yankee fan, was taught by my dad in the 1960's to hate the Yankees. So, if they DON'T make it, oh well. I never bought into the Yankee/Red Sox thing either.
What would be awesome, there has been rumors that Illitch, owner of the Tigers, is going to go after A-Rod. Now, that's hot.

Of course. Every team makes some moves. They do not need to spend this much money to play winning baseball. A few minor tweeks here and there. First of all they need to get a little younger and a little faster. Generate some runs instead of standing around waiting for 3 run homer.

Plain and simple, get some GOOD pitching, starting and relief. Stop going out there and getting pitchers that were outstanding 10 and 15 years ago.
