I'm a reporter. I work for a financial news service and I love my job. It involves the use of analytical skills. Also, I get to read and write and call that work -- there was a time in my life when I had to do much less pleasant stuff for work, and in the evenings I'd read and write and call it a hobby. Its much better this way.

Still ... not everything is roses. Right now I'm at work on a big project on "international regulatory authority and tax havens."

Yes, that is just about as tedious a subject as it sounds. But I'll try to make it all exciting when I write it up!

I work in transportation, I started driving school bus and charters in 1971and drove bus for schools,Commonwealth games,Universiade and many more, until 1991, within that time I took on a partime job as a dispatcher for disabled transportation and I have been there ever since, 20 years later. I have moved from dispatch to a service coordinator and will be there until I retire in 2011. The job has been very satisfying and rewarding. During the last 39 years I have loved what I have done, I have grown with every task that was given to me. I listened, studied my customers, their needs and tried to understand everything that they require, I take and active interest in there disabilities in order to assist them. I have many opportunities to learn supervisory skills and interact with coworkers, drivers and other supervisors. I have never been afraid to present new ideas. I have made all jobs/tasks mine and work hard towards a positive outcome, that way I only have myself to correct. It's not always the best way, because I have to consider others thoughts as well, but it isn't from lack of trying. I have the best job, because I want to be there. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to find your passion and go for it. if you haven't already.

my 'career' is being a student, and sometimes I hate it because of the homework and long days (and irritating teachers) but if school wasn't there I'd be very dumb, and wouldn't have met my friends, so I guess it's not all that bad.
oh and you could call it my career, that I write story's for my friends, myself, and some fan fictions for every one.. and I love it :)

MY CAREER FOR THE PAST 18YEARS IS IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS. I HAVE WORKED AT OUR LOCAL HOSPITAL AS AN OPERATOR.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE JOB IS JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE TO DO. I HELP THE PATIENTS WITH THEIR REQUESTS, HANDLE EMERGENCY CALLS AND CODES AND ANSWER THE DOCTOR'S ANSWERING SERVICE CALLS FOR ABOUT 170 PHYSICIANS.
WHAT I HATE ABOUT THE JOB IS, PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN THAT THEY HAD TO WAIT SOMETIMES WHEN THE CALLS REALLY GET BUSY AND HAVING TO KEEP MY PATIENCE WHEN HANDLING THEIR CALLS.
EMERGENCY CALLS, CODES, PATIENTS WILL ALWAYS COME FIRST. LOOKING UP ROOM NUMBERS WILL TAKE SECOND FIDDLE. I PERSONALLY TRY MY BEST TO DO THE BEST JOB IN MY DEPARTMENT. SO FAR I AM ONE OF TWO- OF THE BEST OPERATORS ON MY SHIFT. PLUS, MY COWORKERS ON MY SHIFT ALL TRY THEIR BEST TO PUT IN A GOOD DAYS WORK. WORKING WITH PEOPLE HAS GREAT REWARDS, ESPECIALLY WHEN MY WORK MIGHT BE SAVING SOMEONES LIFE. I CONSIDER MY JOB VERY IMPORTANT. I LOVE MY JOB

i work in child care. I would say im torn between if i love it or hate it. It definatly has its perk. the kids are so cute, they say the craziest things. but at the same time i hate it because the kids can get on your nerves and the person you work for can be b****y. You work with all females so the cattiness sets in. but for the most part i like my job.

Psychiatric nurse practitioner. Love it because I can use holistic methods like breathing, relaxation, meditation, etc. (all the facets of yoga) and use myself in a helping, therapeutic way. Hate the way people are over medicated by a lot of psychiatrists.

i teach and do research, I love this because I see myself as responsible for the coming generation, to make the next generation better is the first duty of a teacher, given Indian ethics.

I design embedded control systems, primarily for fairly exotic research instrumentation. It involves a lot of physics, math, electronics, and software development.
I've always been fascinated by math, physics, electronics, and computers. This lets me do all of them at the same time.
