I started trinessa about a month ago and got my period a few days ago. I decided to take birth control because of horrible cramps (so bad I had to call off work a few times) and heavy periods. I just got my period this week and it started out light and stuff, but now on day four its starting to get heavy! Why? Id this normal? Is this still my body adjusting to the bc, or is the bc not helping? Thanks

Give it a few months to coordinate with your body before freaking out.

Your doctor should have told you it will take a few months.

You need to be on birthcontrol at least several months before it starts really working. After being on it for six years, I have a super light period for all of two days and I'm done. Really, stop stressing. These are things you should have discussed with your healthcare professional. It's perfectly normal.
