i would prefer to buy it on-line. If it is not the sort of item that can be purchased on-line, i live in Wheaton, IL.

This is the crafters section, so of course we try to make our own before looking for where to buy it.

You can buy a little bit of horse fabric at the fabric store, cut it into a strip and seal the edges with fray check or pretty fabric paint. Test it to make sure it won't flake off before putting it into a book.

Or, you can take plain fabric and iron a piece of freezer paper to the back. then tape that to a sheet of card stock, running the tape all along the top but not on the sides or bottom. Find a picture you like on the internet, and print it on the cloth. Cut the cloth into a strip, seal the ends as described above, and voila, handmade bookmark.
