1. Which is safer during pregnancy? Cigarette or Cigar? Neither, don't smoke anything while pregnant.
2. What does a Braxton-Hicks contraction feel like? On and Off Cramping
3. Will smoking cause a miscarriage?
Yes it could, but just because you smoke doesn't mean that you will have a miscarriage.
4. I'm at the beginning of week 13 with my pregnancy and my belly looks like I'm six or seven months pregnant right now, I don't know if I'm just bloated or what, but do you think I'm having twins or multiples? If so, how many? I wouldn't know how many babies your having, you should go to your Dr. and ask them for an ultrasound. That will tell you if your having 1 or 2 or more.

1. Neither. Do NOT smoke when you are pregnant! Smoking while pregnant puts both mother's and baby's life at risk. Currently, about 13 percent of pregnant women in the U.S. smoke during pregnancy. If all pregnant women stopped smoking while pregnant, there would be an estimated 10 percent reduction in infant deaths in this country, according to the U.S. Public Health Service. Smoking while pregnant should be a cause for concern. Cigarette smoke contains more than 2,500 chemicals, with nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide thought to be the most dangerous to the fetus.
2. It feels like your insides are in a vise, but they don't last long or are very severe. If you have any severe pain, tell your doctor right away.
3. See #1
4. Your doctor may order an ultrasound, which will determine the development of the baby and if there's more than one. The doctor can also tell you if you are gaining too much or too little weight, and advise you on diet.
Good luck!

As far as I know, neither is "safer" than the other one. They both contain nicotine which can seriously mess a baby up! For Braxton-Hicks contractions, they feel like period cramps, but they aren't steady, you may get one and then in an hour or two get another one and so on. Yes, smoking can cause a miscarriage, I had a miscarriage once before I got pregnant with my oldest son and I smoked....a lot. And when I found out I was pregnant with my oldest son I quit smoking and had a happy, healthy baby. As far as being in your 13th week, it's not unusual for a first time mom to show or have a big belly, when I was pregnant with my oldest I was only about as far along as you and people thought I was ready to pop! It also depends on you size before you were preganant, if you are a smaller person, we tend to show sooner than say a tall person. I hope that this helps you! Good luck and congratulations!!

1. NONE...you shouldnt smoke and if u do, dont inhale
smoking can cause small birth weight, miscarriage and in some cases, still-birth or deformities.
2. Braxton hicks just feels like your stomach muscles tightening and releasing; kind-of like your period
3. It can, not a huge risk but preterm labor can could effect the child or possibly could die from it.
4. you could just have a lot of water build up. Some people just "expload" during pregnancy even with just one. Consult your doctor.
my sister and sister in law both smoked during pregnancy. They are both happy healthy baby boys. There is no guarentee somethin bad will happen but do you really want to risk it? In the end, the choice is your. Good luck with everything

Smoking is not safe during pregnancy.
Braxton Hicks feel like a tightening of your lower stomach sometimes they are felt in your back as well... they are uncomfortable and for some people a little painful.
Smoking increases your chance of preterm labor and low birth weight baby.
The size of your stomach does not determine multiples only an ultrasound.
EDIT-smoking does not give a baby downs syndrome... thats a ridiculous answer that is a chromosomal abnormality

You shouldn't smoke at all during pregnancy. Neither is safe. Both rob the developing fetus of oxygen and expose it to nicotine.
Braxton-Hicks contractions may or may not be painful. Mine weren't. The belly rises and hardens. You are months away from this "rehearsal" for real contractions.
A doctor can determine if you are carrying more than one baby. You should be getting prenatal care, which will likely include ultrasound exams to determine the health, growth and if you desire, the sex of the baby. During such an exam if there are multiple babies they will see them then.

1. neither
2. normally like a menstrual cramp, sometimes you feel the tightening of your abdomen.
3. It won't necessarily CAUSE a miscarriage, but it does increase your chances of miscarriage, preterm labor, and a small baby.
4. Have you seen a dr. yet? They would be the one to answer this question. Probably do an ultrasound to check for multiples, or another abnormality. No one on here can tell you how many babies you are having.

first of all, no smoking is safe at all!!! braxton hicks contractions felt like small stomache cramps to me, but everyone is different in that aspect. yes smoking can cause problems, im not sure about miscarrying, but it will cause the baby to be very sickly and have a low birth weight. if you are only 13 weeks and that big already then you are possible carrying more than one. your doctor should have told you that already, unless you arent going to one........
