That depends on how you define success. In my experience it is being friendly and helpful to others because then they are more likely to be friendly and helpful to you. You will be much more effective in getting things accomplished with a group of people that look out for your interests than with any other method that I can think of. It's no secret that extroverted people tend to be more successful than introverted people because they are more adept winning people over. Education is important as people tend to place more faith in someone based on how learned they appear. This isn't necessarily an education in school but you definitely need to be a leader in your chosen field. My bottom line answer is networking.

To stop thinking about achieving success, then, and only then, I think you've accomplished something. Everyone trying to achieve success has gotten us a warming world, with disease, higher murder rates, war after war; and what's really succeeded? (i'm not asking that for an answer, I already know)

I think you'll have to define success before I could answer that question. Do you mean, monetarily, spiritually, emotionally, etc? To some people money means very little to others it is the be- and- end- all.

Never settling, always keeping your goals high, and doing what is necessary to achieve those goals. believing in yourself and being respectful to others, because you never know who you're going to need help from to get you where you need to be.
