Republican Party to dump their current candidates and turn over the coffers to Sen Chuck Hagel, whos very conservative voting record would keep the religious rightwingers from leaving the party? Perhaps our party would have a slim chance rather than a fat chance of winning in 2008.

Who said republicans have a slim chance of winning the White House? Maybe you haven't noticed but none of the leading democratic candidates could commit to pulling out of Iraq if elected! And maybe you haven't noticed, but the democrat led congress has a lower approval rating than the president! By the time 2008 roles around I think the people of this country will be tired of the "do nothing" democrats who do little more than complain complain complain. But it will take a Republican that can distance himself from Bush to win the White House.

People want success in iraq and are sick of politics getting in the way...it was politics that drove them to pull out the majority of troops after they took Iraq and that was a costly mistake because it allowed the insurgents to move in.... Let the military do their job and tell all the politicians to keep to their pork legislation to keep us working on bridges that lead nowhere and roads that just end in a field...

Chuck Hagel is a hack. Why do you think he decided not to run for president. Maybe it's the fact that no one supports him except the anti war libs who are just using him for their own leftist agenda.

The government of this country is not based upon the results of polls-------if it were, we could all sit down at our computer every morning and take a vote on all the different issues that came up overnight. Then our government could react according to the results of that poll.

You are wrong. While yes the majority is not in favor of the war, the majority is against us pulling out of Iraq before the work is done. Please try and use some accuracy in your question.
