I believe "The Notebook" has become very popular thanks to the film version.

I've only read three by Nicholas Sparks,
two of which I know are movies.
A Walk to Remember and The Notebook
were good movies, but they were better
as books. I like them both equally and find
them sweet tales.

I also read The Wedding. That one was
alright; I couldn't stand the narrator at some
points, but what he ended up doing for his
wife in the end was really sweet. That story
wasn't about two young people falling in love;
it was about saving a marriage that's love had
close to fallen apart.

The Notebook is quite popular now, due to the movie, but it was a great book.
I heard from my friends that Message in a Bottle and Nights in Rodanthe are also good.
