YES I was on food stamps for about 6 weeks

I called it my Bum Card

Honestly when at the market I would NOT go thru the line if a hott girl was the checker
Did NOT want a hottie thinking I was trailer trash

we don't have food stamps in Canada.In B.C.,since the welfare and disability is totally insufficient to foot the bills and eat,we have private charity food banks.So people,stand in a lineup with the various others they would usually cross the street to avoid but for that.
Then of course there's always the soup kitchen lineups/and shelters,only on the coldest of nights of course.
This is how we really treat the disabled people here.
If it wasn't for private charities,there would be an even greater body count each cold morning.
How's that for embarassing?

No, I've never been on food stamps, and even if I were, I wouldn't be afraid to tell people. Sometimes people fall on hard times and they have no other choice.

no i have not. those of you that are if you re trying to provide for your family but you need help there is nothing to be embarrassed about, it is those who are taking advantage of the system that should be embarrassed.

And yes, embarrassing enough to bust my butt for a job & get off them.
