some people answer questions with "thanks for the 2 points"
i don't get it? what are you going to do with these points? impress strangers on a website..

Yeah i kno some people go a little over board with getting points but they just want to be noticed. The people with the highest points on here get there names on the websites and thats what alot of people want, they just want to be famous its not their fault but then again why would somone want to answer alot of questions to grab fame?

I dont care that much about the points here. In my opinion points indicates how far we've got. If i dont make a mistake these points can be traded for some souvenir from yahoo...

If I bother with thanks for 2 points it usually means the person has asked an inane question and Im being snarky.
Don't care about the points but i like the account because all my letters from someone and all my contacts are tied to it.

Well didn't they tell you about the points system,didn't you read all the community guidelines you don't have a clue about the $500,000.00 grand prize at the end of the Internet.

I don't know why, but I do care. *that's because i'm a nerd. ha*
It's like a challenge. I've seen people with level 6 and up and I want to be like them. Come on. It's our own pride if we suceed to reach a higher level.

to me, points stopped mattering when i FINALLY hit the Unlimited answers stage. it was a pain to get thru only two hours of a twelve hour shift and be out of answers.
