sleeping disoreders in Ramadan are caused by having to get up from sleep or keep yourself awake to have suhur.
it is also caused by having to get up early enough to go to work or school .
the person feels wants to go to bed once he goes home, but he may want to watcgh someting on tv or to do something in particular .
after breaking the fast, the person feels drowzy and wants to sleep, but doesnt bec he has to pray taraweeh , then watch tv serials.
ramadan makes us resist sleep , then give in most of the time.

If you go to ANY muslim country...the day is night and the night is day! i swear, it's really cool...but the thing is that they sleep all morning!!! except for the ppl who have to go to school, but i remeber when i was in Yemen for a year, the delayed school till 10 am! i was so happy OMG...i was like, why can't this happen in the states...seriously. Ramadan for Muslims here, has no life..over there , you can feel the spirituallity everywhere....
but yeah we do have sleeping disorders in Ramadan

The quality of sleep is as important as the duration. A complete cycle of 90 minutes without interruption is also important. There are dos and don'ts.
Do this:
Drink a mixture of mint and Annis boiled in water before sleep.
Eat and drink dairy products as they contain calcium which induces sleep.
Eat magnesium rich food like nuts.
Eat sesame seeds as they contain calcium.
I read and find that eating dates induces sleep.
Take a tablet of Cal-Mag which contains calcium and magnesium before sleeping.
Read in bed.
I like Zoser's suggestion of eating some rice in the evening, but cut on other food to avoid gaining weight.

Don't:
Drink caffeine in the afternoon like tea, coffee and chocolate.
Take abimol extra or similar tablets containing caffeine, cough syrup also has it, check the ingredients.
Use the computer before sleep since a glaring light stimulates the brain.
Take vitamins in the afternoon.
Eat fruits at night since they contain vitamin C which gives you energy.

actually i'm suffering from sleeping disorders all the time not only in ramadan as i can't sleep more than one hour directly without waking up,and this realy freaking me out and driving me crazy.

I am suffering bass add on my baby's first day at school so i daily sleep @ 2:00 AM wake up at 4:00 to eat and then wake up again at 6:00 (for the school bus's procedures baa) then wake up AGAIN at 8:30 to go to work.. never sleep before iftar nor after ..... What were we talking about baa? ah sleeping disorders.... (sigh)

Its because we sleep on full stomaches. Trying doing some exercise before you sleep, so you wear yourself out and to burn out the food faster.

try eating one onion before bedtime and see if that helps!
