A White Christmas is just as magical as it seems in the movies and songs.
There is something about snow falling that brings a hush over the streets and makes you stop and enjoy the moment. Also all the Christmas lights are reflected off the snow on the ground which puts a glow on everything.
I live in New England where it is snowy and cold for most of the year but for all the aggravation the cold and snow causes I wouldn't trade it for the joy it brings on Christmas day.
You should definately experience it at least once!

i guess it depends on where/what you've been raise with, especially the early part of your life that sets off the feelings. Canadians especially the those over thirty are so use to white Christmas's that we realy couldn't imagine being with out the snow on that day, but a lot of use hate the cold, i've never been a winter person myself. My type would like to see it once a year only on the day before and Christmas. But changes in the enviroment, have cause us a few none white Christmas's. We get snow but we get alot more warm days than ever before. When i first came to Canada as a child, many times, every winter we would have to climb out the window to shovel the door free, never did we see a day clear of deep snow. We could never dream of wearing shoes, or riding our bikes, never could we go out without a coat. Not so any more. But it's beautiful to have snow falling at Christmas, it just seems to make the day much happier. It is all that for us, but we expect it and it's something we just use to. I remember one Christmas, when a rain storm blew it after the snow, when i opened my curtains Christmas morning all the sun was shinning brightly and trees have tree's had turned to crystal and the snow had iced over, everything was gleaming and sparkleing, it was incredibly beautiful, i rush and got my camera and took pictures. Christmas has been turned into a celebration of the almighty dollar, especially for those at the top of retail business's. But people hopefully are opting out of that, i know many and my family the same, it is terrible discusseding, but they started jumping on all the hollidays, it is the way of the filthy rich and greedy they can never get enough, much like politician, Halloween has turned into a celebration of glutony. Myself and kids have never participated in this brainwashing " it's all for the kids" bull, retail industry, like most all business's love to tell advertise how they go so far out of their way to make us happy, they do it all for us. While they rake the profits and that is realy what it's about to them. Our family stopped the spending years ago and keep it very simple.

It is cold, damp, roads are often hazardous and driving slow, people in line at stores can be cranky and irritated, although they can be nice as well if they feel the spirit in them, but if you have the Christmas spirit you can enjoy the season without the snow very easily. One of my best past Christmases was in Southern California having tacos and cold beer as a Christmas dinner!! The best is to live somewhere that you can drive up into the mountains for snow when you want that and then drive back down when you are tired of it.

It really makes it "Feel" like Christmas I guess. I can remember spending one Christmas in Florida, and it just wasn't the same feeling. I think that the whole gift giving, and ads, and songs, and stupid shows, and movies are overdone and out of control, but I guess the whole thing goes back to spending time with family and friends. All of this ,for me , went on in NJ where it was cold and sometimes snowed before Christmas. If you have Christmas in the summer in December, try celebrating it in the winter in July!

A white Christmas just makes it special and a lot funner trying to go and see family in the snow! Sledges and snowball fights that kind of thing, most of the time kids love the snow more than presents.

White Christmases are pretty. I like them. Come up to Canada in Dec. and then you can experience one. However we haven't really had a white one in quite some time. Or you could just have Christmas in July in NZ.

It is absolutely wonderful. The beauty of the snow and icicles on the trees and shrubs is an unbelievable sight. It always seems to make Christmas time extra special to us. We love to drive around and look at every ones decorations at this time. The lights seem like stars glistening. I wish it would snow every Christmas.

Well I live in Michigan, and we always have a white Christmas. It is great, and it definitely brings out the spirit in everyone. It is still over-priced things and such, but I couldn't imagine Christmas without snow!!!!
